How Good is the MIET, Meerut?
As far as I know, if you go by statistics and facts, MIET is undoubtedly the best one in Meerut.
Now coming to the reality.
The faculty and infrastructure is good enough to serve the purpose.
If you think of opting for Computer Science or It, you can expect that you might get a placement in some of the mass recruiters like TCS or Wipro in the final year. But don’t expect that you’ll get a whopping package.
For other branches, you have less or no scope for on-campus placement because only core IT companies visit MIET.
Though, youll obviously have a pool of jobs waiting for you outside, off campus.
If you have interest in sports, youll surely be disappointed as its not something that is popular in MIET. All you can do is play Cricket.
It has a library with a decent stock of books and you’ll not need to buy any books any books because all are available there.
The whole campus is not wifi but most of the places are. (if this is important to you).
If you come from some other place, you will find Meerut fascinating in its own way. The language, the accent, people, crowded places and
“zara sarphirey log”.
The hostels are not very good but they are okay. You will definitely not get the same food as your home but its just ok. Ive always hated it though. ?
If you are expecting that this college is like the one shown in Student of the year movie, with super hot chicks in mini skirts all around and super cool guys with guitars and Lamborghinis, peace on you!!
You can become a bright student, become something in life, only by following your passion and dream. This college can surely be a medium for it. You will have to prove yourself here.
Else, you can have all sorts of highs, smoke, weed, fights and ruin yourself for life.
You’ll have to work hard.
Because there are no free lunches in the world.
PS: I am a final year CSE student here.
