CEPT Archives invites applications for full-time position as Admin Executive – Record Management.

We are looking for dynamic professionals who are self- motivated, possess database management skills, can work on various aspects related to record keeping of archival collections.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Making basic lists of all archival material received/acquired
  • Store keeping- systematically storing all archival material under proper names & labels in designated drawers.
  • Maintenance of material in Storage
  • Infrastructure maintenance, support staff, A/c, Water cooler, building, etc.
  • Responsible for Diligent Record Keeping- with systematic unique codes & names for items in the Archives.
  • Listing Archival material in a systematic manner for easy access.


Qualification & Skills Required:

  • Minimum one year of experience in related field
  • Bachelor’s in Library Science
  • Record Keeping skills
  • Ms Office Efficiency
  • Good communication skills

Graphic and Digitization Executive, CEPT Archives

CEPT Archives invites applications for full-time position as Graphic and Digitization Executive.

We are looking for dynamic professionals who are self- motivated, possess multitasking skills, have a good knowledge of visual communications and can work on various aspects related to digitizing and disseminating archival collections.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Digitizing all archival material available with use of different mediums
  • Working on and editing all material and creating various versions of each item for use on different platforms. (E.g. Original, High Resolution, for web, with watermark etc.)
  • Designing & producing collateral material (Brochure, flyer, invites, posters, presentations, etc.) required for branding or meetings for the Archives.
  • Maintaining and supervising work log of Student Assistants
  • Editing, maintaining and creating Audio/video files for the Archives.
  • Maintain regular backup of all work being carried out on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring accuracy in record management through supervision and advice.

Qualification & Skills Required:

  • Minimum one year of experience in related field
  • Bachelors/Master in Architecture preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Preview, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of scales for Scanning
  • Systematic Folder Management on Computers- Managing Back ups
  • English Language Efficiency

CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable. Through its education, research and advisory activities, CEPT strives to improve the impact of habitat professions in enriching the lives of people in India’s villages, towns and cities.

The University comprises five faculties. The Faculty of Architecture was established as the ‘School of Architecture’ in 1962. It focuses on design in the private realm. The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972 as the ‘School of Planning’. The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982 as the ‘School of Building Science and Technology’. The Faculty of Design was established in 1992 as the ‘School of Interior Design’. It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. Faculty of Management established in 2013 and it focuses on Habitat and Project Management.

CEPT University takes its name from the ‘Center for Environmental Planning and Technology’ (CEPT). CEPT and the various schools that it comprised were established by the Ahmedabad Education Society with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India. The Government of Gujarat incorporated CEPT as a university in 2005. The University Grants Commission recognized CEPT University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 in 2007. The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of the Government of India recognizes the University as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).
