AMU Class 11 Admission Process

The Admissions to Class 11 (also referred to as SSSC) are done on the basis of the AMU Class 11 Entrance Test conducted by the university annually. The detailed admission procedure is elaborated in the yearly Guide to Admissions, and the link for same is available on this site as it is released for this year. The Applicants must first fulfill the minimum criteria required to be eligible for filling in the application form.

AMU Class 11 Entrance Test Preparation
We’ve been consistently writing articles on the tips and strategies one must follow for success in the SSSC Admission Test. You need to be strong enough in your concepts in Science and Mathematics, but there are a lot of other factors that play a major role in the test and may help you out better. We discussed the strategies in our previous post on How to study for AMU Class 11 & Diploma in Engineering Entrance Test

AMU Class 11 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for applying to the course, a candidate must have passed High School / Class 10th or its equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in average for English, Science and Mathematics subjects. Once you fulfill the stated criteria, you can apply for the admission process and prove your ability in the Entrance Test.
AMU Class 11 Streams of Study
When we talk of the Class 11 Entrance test or the AMU SSSC Admission procedure, please do not mix it with every other subject. We’ll all know that study in class 11 is very well defined on the basis of the subjects, also sometimes referred as ‘streams of study’. There are separate Entrance tests for the Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities/Diploma in Engineering; Yes! Diploma in Engineering is also considered a part of the same Entrance procedure. We’ve discussed the details of these in our elaborated article on AMU Class 11 Admission Streams | SSSC Science / Arts Admission
AMU Class 11 Cut-off Marks

The CutOff Marks for the entrance test again vary greatly on different parameters. For example, the cut-off for science shall be different than others, while even in Science the Cut-Offs for PCM and PCB groups are different, which again depend on whether the Applicant is a Male or a Female (Note: There are entirely separate admissions, and different Colleges for Boys as well as Girls). We’ve discussed the Class 11 Cut-offs and their variations over the past few years in our previous article on AMU Class 11 Cut-Off | AMU Last Year Cut Off Marks.

AMU Class 11 Entrance Test Date
The Admission Test Dates for admissions to AMU Class 11 are usually announced well in advance. This year, the exam may tentatively be scheduled in May 13, 2018 for the Science stream and Humanities stream. We’ve listed the Admission test Date and timings for both the streams for Class 11th Admissions separately in our article on AMU 2018 Admissions Date | Entrance Test Dates 2018.
