UPTET Syllabus & Exam Pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is available here. This syllabus and exam pattern is very important for the preparation of UPTET 2021. According to a notification of UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test), soon this exam is going to be held in the month of October.

UPTET (or Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state level examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Board for primary (classes 1 to 5) and upper-primary (classes 6 to 8) in schools. Teachers are recruited. UPTET exam is very important for a candidate who wants to work as a teacher in government schools of Uttar Pradesh.

There are two papers in this exam (Paper 1 and Paper 2). Students who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 in government schools of Uttar Pradesh have to clear the UPTET Paper I, while those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 must clear Paper 2. To crack this exam, it is important to understand the UPTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern.

Child Development and Pedagogy : 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Mathematics: 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Language - 1 (Hindi) : 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Language - 2 (Any one from English, Urdu, Sanskrit) : 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Environmental Studies : 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Reading unseen passages - two paragraphs one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, conclusion, grammar and verbal ability (prose passage can be literary, scientific, descriptive or logical)

(b) Teaching language development [15 questions]

• Principles of Teaching Language Learning and Acquisition

• The role of listening and speaking: the function of language and how children use it as a tool. of grammar in the learning of a language for the communication of ideas in oral and written form. Breakthrough perspective on the role. the challenges of teaching a language in a different classroom; Language difficulties, errors and disorders

• Language skills

• Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency: speaking, listening, reading and writing
