The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army , the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. What is the qualification and nda exam eligibility?
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have passed Class 12th exam in the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Can a girl join NDA?
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA examination. Girls are not allowed for the NDA entrance examination.
How do I join the national Defence Academy?
First you need to check nda exam registration online on NDA website and to join National Defence Academy a candidate must appear in the entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission, twice a year, normally in month of March and August. Candidate must be a unmarried male. To join NDA one must pass written followed by SSB, medicals and finally to be in merit list.

Does 12th marks matter in NDA?
There is no requirement for percentage. if you want to give NDA exam then you must have to pass 12th exam. marks and stream are do not matter. You cannot join NDA after 10th.
Is phone allowed in NDA?
Are mobiles allowed for cadets at NDA? No. As per the rules of National Defence Academy, mobile phones are prohibited. Officers are there on a regular checking and if a cadet is found with a mobile phone, he would directly get 21 restrictions.

Training. All the cadets joining the NDA after their 10+2 Examination are trained in the Academy for three years culminating in graduation with BA(or)BSc or BCs (Computer Science) degree of Jawaharlal Nehru University; the first course to be awarded degrees was the 46th course in 1974.
Do NDA cadets get paid?
Stipend given to Gentlemen Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at IMA is Rs 56,100. On successful commissioning in NDA, the pay in the Pay matrix of the Officer commissioned will be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10.
Does NDA graduate go to war?
Most cadets, who graduate from NDA, Do continue as officers in the armed forces. There can be few exceptions though. Post NDA, the cadets go to respective service academy for further training, to Indian military academy, naval academy or the air force academy. never went on to become officers.
